St Thenue Mural
This image captures the mural by Mark Worst of St Mungo’s mother, Thenue,
She is depicted surrounded by the fish that saved her in the Firth of Forth while pregnant, and her shawl features 29 motifs honouring the young women who tragically lost their lives in the 1889 Templeton’s carpet factory disaster. As I walked past, I focused on capturing her face, keeping it as the subject while moving, resulting in a dynamic and respectful interpretation of this remarkable piece of Glasgow street art.
